« In making the performance artwork ‘Put Your Heart Under Your Feet … and Walk!’ to Elu – i set myself a series of endurance ordeals. Being temporarily buried alive was an action of lamentation. A few minutes of being deprived of oxygen, of light, and of freedom of movement – things we take for granted – was terrifying and transformative.
